Cleopatra's Milk, Honey & Pearl Powder Bath

Cleopatra bathed in milk, honey and yep, you guessed it, Pearl Powder. This is a fantastic way to get soft, supple skin - all over your body. The lactic acid in milk is very exfoliating, the vitamins and minerals in pearl powder are exorbitant, and honey is softening, moisturizing, and all-around beautifying.

The key is to use full-fat milk, cream, (or powdered milk), pure honey and pearl powder. Full-fat milk and pearl powder will not only exfoliate the skin, but it will also moisturize. Pour 1-2 cups of milk (or 1/2 c. full-fat powdered milk), 1/2 tsp pure finely milled pearl powder, and 1/2 c. honey under running, warm water. Swish around to mix, and hop in. Then picture yourself on a tropical island sipping a Margeretta. Or better yet, make yourself one.

Guava Leaves & Pearl Powder For Wrinkles

Worried about the wrinkles on your face? Well, you don't need to get any chemical or surgical treatments to get rid of it. An easy and natural remedy for this is pearl powder and guava leaves.

Pearl Powder, is the Mother, or Queen of all Beauty herbals. And Guava has managed to showcase its amazing health benefits, especially when it comes to skin treatment. The fruit is filled with nutrients like vitamins A and C, and minerals, namely copper, magnesium, and manganese. Guava has more Vitamins, Minerals And Potassium than oranges, or bananas. The leaves are a powerhouse of antioxidants like Vitamin C, and flavonoids such as quercetin.

Combining these two power antioxidant superfoods together, boosts skin cell reproduction, thus diminishes wrinkles and aging skin.
Directions

Both Pearl Powder and Guava leaves contain antioxidants which destroy the free radicals that damage your skin, thus protecting your skin from aging as well as improving skin tone and texture.

Finely Mash guava leaves (I use a coffee grinder to a powder). Put 1/2 tsp powdered leaves into small bowl or cup. Add 1/2 tsp pearl powder and enough water to make a paste. This makes the ideal scrub. Apply the mixture to your face and neck, and let sit for 15-20 minuets. Wash off with warm water, let air dry. Be careful not to get any into your eyes. Repeat twice a week.

Hand Softening Scrub
To soften your hands, try a moisturizing scrub made from 1tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp pearl powder and a teaspoon of almond or grapeseed oil. Put some of the mixture onto your hands then massage in circular motions. After a few minutes, rinse the oil off with warm water, then pat dry. Finish with a moisturizing hand cream or lotion such as Silk Peptide Pearl Cream, or Sarah's Pearl Cream.

Anti-Aging Hand Mask

As we age, the skin on the backs of our hands can reveal significant signs of aging. This simple, all-natural mixture you can make at home in minutes will have your hands feeling softer and looking more youthful in no time.

1 Tbsp raw honey
1 Tbsp plain yogurt
1 tsp pearl powder*

Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Apply the mixture to the back of your hands and your décolletage area, and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Wipe off gently using a warm washcloth. For best results, repeat one or two times a week.

At-Home Nail Spa

So you don't have the time or money to get an elaborate manicure? Now you can get a spa manicure in the comfort of your own home at a fraction of the cost by following these steps. This nail spa treatment will give salon like nails at home which will surely enhance your look on your important day.

1. Clean your nails and remove old nail polish, if any.

2. Clip, file, and shape your nails so they look neat and even. Buff tops and sides of nails lightly with a nail buffer, or buffing block (not your emery board), until you see a slight shin. This step helps to create a smooth surface, and also boosts circulation to the nail bed, giving slow growing or weak nails a shot of fresh, oxygenated blood needed to get stronger and grow faster.

3. Soak your fingertips in a bowl of warm water for 2-3 minutes, dry thoroughly with a towel. Then push back your cuticles gently with a cuticle stick.

4. Exfoliate your hands with a hand scrub to eliminate dead skin cells. Clean under nails. Wash hands afterward and dry thoroughly.

5. Moisturize your hands. I recommend Sarah's Pearl Cream. Put some cream in your hand, and use a bit more than you would typically use, and give your hands, fingers and forearms a good hand massage. Not only will this hydrate your skin and nails, but it allows you a well relaxing moment.

6. Apply nail polish if you prefer.

Massage:

Massaging your skin improves circulation, stimulates your skin, relaxes muscles, improves skin texture, helps relax the muscles that cause stress lines, and reduces wrinkles. Stimulation results in increased circulation, which ultimately helps produce collagen and elastin. A Massage brings nourishing blood to the skin, stimulating cell growth. It can also tighten facial muscles and release tension, which can provide immediately noticeable effects, such as increased radiance.

Moisturizing is key to having healthy-looking, supple skin. It hydrates and helps your skin's moisture barrier, which leaves you with a glowing complexion and smooth skin. It is a great way to make your skin look beautiful, brighter and taught. Moisturize your entire body, especially your face and neck.

For your face and neck, apply Sarah's Pearl Cream and massage into your skin for about 20 minutes using gentle, circular motions. Massage wrinkled areas, such as the forehead, cheeks and mouth using upward and outward motions. Apply slightly more of the cream than usual.

Mornings are the best time to perform a facial massage because your circulation is reduced while you are asleep, and can boost circulation and reduce puffiness due to water retention.

Warning

Be careful when massaging the face. Facial skin is more delicate than on other areas of the body. Using a moisturizer that helps the fingers slide more easily can prevent skin from tearing and becoming damaged. Stay away from the delicate under eye area.

Bid adieu to fine lines and wrinkles and say hello to a firm, supple glow.

These simple and affordable at-home spa treatments are a convenient way to unwind, relax and enjoy the luxurious things in life without having to spend a lot of money or leave the house.
